Animal Preference

Have you been bitten or attacked by a dog or cat?

Did the bite require medical attention?

Are you comfortable approaching a dog or cat you do not know?

Do you have prior experience working with rescued animals?

Activity Review

As a volunteer, would you be able to perform the following activities?

Carrying cages or other heavy supplies

Handling or moving animals, including returning them to their cages or kennels

Working around unpredictable and dangerous animals

Training Acknowledgement

Please acknowledge that you understand and accept the following:

Training opportunities will be provided only after you complete your probationary status, but may not occur immediately after you complete probation.

The training provided will be based on your desired position and the availability of a trainer.

Some training may be online.

Euthanasia Acknowledgement

I understand that with the large amount of abandoned animals it is sometimes necessary for Animal Services staff (but NEVER a volunteer) to euthanize an animal that is sick, injured, or deemed unadoptable.
